Wasabi Da Lat is a pioneering brand in cultivating and developing natural wasabi in Vietnam, delivering clean, green, and pure products from the highlands. We carefully select fields and valleys with year-round cool climates at elevations above 1,500 meters, where pristine mountain streams nourish each wasabi plant to grow strong and healthy.
Every wasabi leaf is hand-harvested and processed using advanced freeze-drying technology to preserve its signature pungent flavor and valuable natural compounds. From this process, we create pure wasabi leaf powder—free from artificial coloring and preservatives—suitable for culinary use, beverage applications, and wellness care.
At the same time, fresh wasabi rhizomes are harvested on a regular schedule, carefully graded, and supplied directly to restaurants, hotels, and consumers who appreciate the authentic, original taste of Đà Lạt wasabi.
OUR STORY
In Da Lat, some misty mornings and valleys remain cool all year round, where the climate closely resembles Japan’s Nagano region. Yet for many years, whenever people spoke of wasabi, imported products were the first thing that came to mind. Few realized that there were dedicated, meticulous, and passionate individuals quietly cultivating wasabi on land ideally suited to growing a uniquely Vietnamese expression of this rare ingredient.
From a simple question: “Why can’t Vietnam produce high-quality wasabi?” – the journey of Wasabi Da Lat began.
Without noise or shortcuts, and without chasing low-cost industrial production, we chose a different path. We grow each plant by hand, carefully oversee every leaf and every rhizome, and process them using advanced freeze-drying technology to preserve the purest, most authentic pungency. Every gram of wasabi leaf powder is more than a product – it is a statement that Vietnamese growers can create world-class, natural, and sustainable ingredients.
We aim to change the belief that premium ingredients must be imported, and to prove that Da Lat, Vietnam, can also be the birthplace of specialties worthy of global recognition.
